Dell is one of the prominent names in the laptop market. Just as we speculated, it rocked the tablet market again with its new 'Dell Latitude 7320', a Detachable 2-in-1 tablet cum laptop, which is the company's latest model in its Latitude series.
Dell’s new tablet, as the name suggests, has a fresh design and a detachable screen, i.e. similar to the Surface Pro X but with more raw power and configurations. This year, the features and OS (Windows 10) cater to personal, business, and enterprise users.
DELL LATITUDE 7320 DETACHABLE SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES
This year’s all-new latitude is equipped with a design upgrade, with slim bezels on the sides with a 13-inch full-HD+ screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio fused with a 1920 × 1280 resolution ( similar to surface pro X), producing an 84% screen to body ratio. The display also supports up to 500 nits of peak brightness and is blended with a Corning Gorilla DX Glass for protection.
This new variant is exclusively equipped with Intel but with multiple RAM and storage configurations. Its biggest difference over Surface Pro X is hidden under the hood, the Dell tablet is paired with the 11th Gen Intel Core processors up to the i7 pro, and It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X SDRAM clocked at 4,266MHz and up to a 1TB PCIe M.2 PCIe SSD. But Surface Pro X maxes out at 512GB RAM and is coupled with a Qualcomm processor, resulting in app compact ability issues.
Also, the dell tablet is intel Evo certified, and it comes with iris Xe graphics which offers 54% more performance.
Talking about connectivity options, the tablet is retaining two thunderbolt 4th generation ports, smart card reader, audio jack, WiFi 6, type C power delivery, Bluetooth v5.1 and supports 4G LTE optional mobile broadband with Qualcomm Snapdragon X20 chip-set (also featured in surface pro X) built inside. Apart from this, it supports an optical fingerprint reader.
Speaking of audio, there are two stereo speakers with Waves MaxxAudio Pro technology and two dual-array microphones. It also supports intelligent audio for enhanced audio quality.
The tablet is also equipped with a 5mp front-facing webcam for a brighter and sharper video in low light, and that also supports 1080p resolution with support for the Hello facial login. On the rear end, it has an 8mp camera.
Dell Latitude is supported by a 40Whr battery that supports Express Charge 2.0, which means it can charge 35% in just 20 minutes.
The add on options are the keyboard and pen. The keyboard features an aluminium frame with a suede finish and a hinge that attaches to the tablet. It also comes with housing support, the pen, which can be recharged up to 100% in 30 seconds which can offer up to 90 minutes of usage (very similar to Surface Pro X’s design and features).
Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable comes with built-in security and Dell Express Connect, which can pull and connect your bandwidth to the strongest WiFi for better video conferencing, express sign-in options and other interesting features.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Detachable is priced at $1,549 (roughly Rs. 1.15 lakh) for the base variant and is already available in the US. As of now, Dell hasn’t given any insight regarding its international availability.
The new latitude is now the slimmest bezel tablet, amongst the current windows powered laptops cum tablets beating out surface pro X, surface pro 7, Think Pad X-12 etc.
